Forts (11/11)

No preschool activities planned for Wednesdays. The boys’ started the day trying to make the climbing gym “DARK”. The blankets were too small and frustration was headed our way. I have a large box of PVC tubes and connectors that the school-age kids use for building with and thought maybe we could make some smaller structures the blankets would fit.

I brought the box into the space and the boys were immediately into it, but didn’t have the knowledge for connecting the tubes into structure. Science and math here we come. We worked out how the connectors fit the tubes together. How to make a square from 4 equal length tubes. We all worked together from there to make the forts today.

Funny thing for me was seeing how many others posted online about building forts today. Wonder if it was in the air?
